In order follows the deck's built-in sequence, which is designed to build up gradually. This is the recommended way.

Kanji are characters borrowed from Chinese. Each one carries a meaning. Kanji write the core of a word (働 = work); hiragana adds grammar (働く), and katakana writes foreign words.
Context decides which one you read, so learn them through words.
Kanji are built from smaller parts called radicals. One often hints at the meaning (氵 = water), another at the sound. Spotting them makes kanji easier to remember.
N5 is the easiest (~80 kanji), then N4 (~170 more), up to N1. Learn N5 first.
